Justin Ingram scored 13 points to lead Toledo to a 64-53 win over Wright State on Wednesday.
The Rockets (1-1) held the Raiders to 35 percent shooting and forced 22 turnovers. Wright State also went 16-for-27 from the free-throw line.
DaShaun Wood scored 13 points and Jordan Pleiman added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Raiders (0-2), who outrebounded the Rockets 44-33.
Ingram and Kashif Payne hit 3-pointers in a key 11-0 run to help the Rockets take a 28-21 lead at halftime. Wright State shot 8-for-27 from the field in the first half.
Wood hit a jumper to cut the lead to 47-42 with six minutes remaining but the Raiders couldn't get any closer. Keonta Howell scored four quick points and Payne made a layup to make it 53-42 with 4:16 left.
Howell finished with 10 points and six rebounds for the Rockets, who shot 37 percent from the field.
Drew Burleson and Everett Spencer scored 10 points apiece for Wright State.
