Toledo Drops 6-1 Decision at Northern Illinois

DeKALB, IL - The University of Toledo women's tennis suffered a 6-1 loss at Northern Illinois on Saturday afternoon. The Rockets now stand at 2-15 on the season and 0-7 in conference play.
With the win, the Huskies (8-7, 4-3 MAC) can finish no lower than sixth in the final league standings, ensuring themselves a free pass into the conference quarterfinals.
Sophomore Myriam Cueva earned the lone UT point with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Branka Savic in No. 1 singles.
Cueva also teamed up with junior Eunice Paravicini to take the No. 1 doubles competition by an 8-6 score.
Toledo next plays vs. West Virginia on Wednesday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m.
