Toledo Sweeps Wright State, 7-0

TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo men's tennis team defeated Wright State, 7-0, this evening at the Laurel Hill Tennis Club.
With the victory, the Rockets improve to 4-5 on the season, while the setback drops the Raiders to 1-11.
The Rockets took the doubles point 8-5, 8-2, 8-5 and won all six singles matches in straight sets. "This was a good way to start out our weekend," Toledo Head Coach Al Wermer said. "We took a good business-like approach to tonight's match. We learned a lot about our team that should help us as we prepare for the MAC season."
In singles play, Brian Rager defeated Presti Pierangelo 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6, and sophomore Cristobal Toral overcame Dan Sundersingh 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5. At No. 4, freshman Travis Curran defeated Brian Savino 6-2, 6-3. Junior Todd Wojtkowski defeated Scott Hayden 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 3 spot, and at No. 2 junior Freddy Gomez beat Brian Butt 6-3, 6-4. At No. 1, junior Khalid Al Nabhani defeated Kevin Teufel 6-3, 6-3.
The Rockets return to action tomorrow hosting Ferris State at 2:00 p.m. and Illinois-Chicago at 7:00 p.m.
