General Comments
"It feels good to get back on track and to have a lot of players get a chance to play. I think the offense had a sound night. We had a chance to mix the ball up and do a lot of different things and get us ready for the start of the MAC season. Tonight was a good football game. I though Liberty battled hard, especially on offense. I thought we improved as a football team and I think we took the first step forward to becoming a good team."
On Playing So Many Young Players in Their First Home Game
"It gives a lot of the guys one more game of experience under their belts. I think we are a team that is going to be improving with each week. Right now though, we have to regroup fast and get our focus ready for Marshall."
On the Play of the Wide Receivers
"I thought our receivers did a nice job. Guys like Steve Odom got to catch the ball a few times and we were able to spread the ball into the hands of more than a couple of players. Hopefully, we can draw off that experience as the season continues."
On the Play of Liberty
"I knew they had a good running game, because they have a big offensive line. In the first half, they had a few 15-plus play drives and we can't let teams do that. We have got to get ourselves off the field faster than that. We dropped a few interception opportunities and fumble opportunities. We have to capitalize on any chance we can touch the football on defense."
On Playing Marshall Next Week
"We are going to put this win behind us and start getting ready for the start of the MAC season and Marshall. This week is going to go by fast, so we have to get regrouped and get our game preparation ready."
On the Play of the Toledo Running Backs
"I think they are going to have better games as we go down the road. We are still working on our running game and I think they will get better and better when we get the timing of our offense down."
Sophomore quarterback Bruce Gradkowski
"We tried to focus on what we could control and not worry about what Liberty was doing."
"Marshall's going to be a tough game, but we look forward to the rivalry and the challenge."
Lance Moore
"We (receivers) saw a little bit more of what we can do this week. We had more opportunities this week."
"Any time I can get my hands on the ball is exciting for me."
"The credit goes to the guys making the blocks for me."
Frank Ofili
"It's good to get a win like this going into Marshall, especially after last week."
"We definitely regrouped defensively after UNLV."

General Comments
When you lose 49-3, you obviously are never happy. However, our guys played well and I believe our offense had chances. We just could not make the plays when it counted.
Our goal coming into the next two weeks was to show improvement. From the sidelines, it appears that we did show improvement this week. It is my hope that we continue to improve next week against Bowling Green, which will prepare us for the remainder of the season.
