- No. 9 Pittsburgh was the highest ranked opponent Toledo has ever defeated. The previous high was No. 18 Marshall in 2001.
- Tonight's attendance of 31,711 was the seventh-largest in Glass Bowl history, and the largest since a MAC record 36,852 saw UT defeat Navy, 21-20, on Oct. 27, 2001.
- Junior wide receiver Lance Moore set a school record with 15 receptions. The previous mark was 14 by John Ross vs. Tampa in 1974. Moore also totaled a career-high 162 yards receiving. His 53-yard TD pass in the second quarter was the longest reception of his career.
- Pittsburgh sophomore wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald's 201 yards receiving was the second highest in Glass Bowl history. The Glass Bowl record was 209 yards receiving by Brian Alford of Purdue in 1997.
- Senior cornerback Brandon Hefflin's interception was the third of the season and 14th of his career, moving him into a tie for third on UT's all-time list with Curtis Johnson (1967-69).
- Sophomore quarterback Bruce Gradkowski set the Mid-American Conference record with 49 completions, surpassing the old mark of 41 set by Miami's Ben Roethilsberger vs. Northern Illinois in 2002.
- Gradkowski set Toledo records for pass completions (49), pass attempts (62) and passing yardage (461). The previous completion mark was 33 by Kevin Meger vs. Purdue in 1992, the previous record for pass attempts was 54 by Chris Wallace vs. Marshall in 1998 and the previous yardage mark was 382 yards by Jim Kelso vs. Wisconsin in 1982.
