ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) - Keith Triplett scored 29 points in the second half to
lead Toledo to a 93-81 victory over DePaul on Saturday.
Toledo (6-1) was up 72-70 with 4:54 remaining when the Rockets went on a
13-3 run keyed by Triplett's 3-pointer and three free throws to take a 85-73
lead with 1:56 to go. Triplett was 8-of-14 from the field and made 4-of-6
3-point attempts.
Florentino Valencias, a Chicago native, had 14 points for Toledo on 7-of-7
shooting. Kareem Milson, Justin Ingram and Sammy Villegas each scored 10 for
the Rockets.
Quemont Greer led the Blue Demons (5-3) with 20 points and Delonte Holland
added 16. Drake Diener had 18 points for DePaul, which led 38-35 at halftime
but turned the ball over 18 times.
This was the first meeting between the teams since 1973, when DePaul won
67-65. The Blue Demons have lost two in a row.
