Football: BG Week Activities Announced

Toledo, OH - Two special events have been scheduled for next week in preparation of BG Week. Toledo hosts Bowling Green at the Glass Bowl in the annual battle for the Peace Pipe on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7:00 p.m.
The first special event will be a live broadcast of UT's weekly Downtown Coaches Association luncheon at the Toledo Club. WCWA (1230 AM) will broadcast live from 12:30-1:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25. WSPD radio personality Mark Standriff will host the broadcast portion of the luncheon, which will feature Rocket Head Coach Tom Amstutz, UT players and other special guests. Attendance to the luncheon is limited to Downtown Coaches Association members and their guests.
The following evening, Tuesday, Nov. 26, the Maumee Rotaract is hosting the annual UT-BG Spirit Event at the South Toledo Golf Dome on 3915 Heatherdowns Road in Maumee from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The event will be emceed by KISS-FM radio personality Denny Schaffer. Each school will be represented by a local celebrity, Toledo by Standriff and Bowling Green by WTOL-TV's Jerry Anderson. Cost to attend the event is $15.00 and includes an all-you-can-eat buffet. A $30 ticket buys the buffet and entrance into the reverse raffle, which has a grand prize of $1,500.00.
