Toledo, OH - Season tickets for the 2001 University of Toledo football season are on sale now and have been set at $111 per seat.Season tickets for fans 12 and under are available for $55.50.
Six tickets are included in the season ticket package. The Rockets will host six opponents in the upcoming season, including games vs. Minnesota, Navy, and MAC rival Western Michigan.
Prices for individual tickets for non-premium games are $16, which represents a $1 increase from last season. Prices for premium games are $26 for Minnesota and $21 for Navy.
The Athletic Department reconsidered an earlier decision to include the 2001 MAC Championship Game in the season ticket package. The game will either be played in Canton, OH, or at the site of the MAC West champion, if arrangements cannot be made for the Canton site. If the Rockets host the MAC Championship Game, season ticket holders will be given first priority to purchase their seats for the game.
First-year head coach Tom Amstutz has 18 starters returning from last year's 10-1 team, including Heisman Trophy candidate Chester Taylor. Taylor, a senior tailback, gained 1,470 yards in 2000.
