Toledo, OH - Head Coach Stan Joplin today announced the signing of Robert Sanders, a 6-6 forward from Scott high School in Toledo.
Sanders averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four blocks as a senior, earning All-City and honorable mention All-District honors. Sanders played small forward and both guard positions for Scott, according to his high school coach, Earl Morris. Sanders led Scott to an 18-7 record in 1999-2000. As a junior, Sanders averaged 12 points a game.
Sanders joins Keith Triplett, Terry Reynolds and Bradley transfer Milo Kirsch in Joplin's 2000-01 recruiting class. The Rockets were 18-13 last season, and return three starters, including two-time All-MAC forward Greg Stempin.
