Alice McCall

Alice McCall begins her first year as an assitant coach of the Toledo women's swimming and diving program in 2014-15.

McCall comes to Toledo from Dallas, TX, where she was a standout swimmer in distance freestyle at Southern Methodist University for four years. She was named a captain for her senior season and was a consistent scorer for the Mustangs at the Conference USA Championships.

At SMU, McCall was a part of the conference champion 800-yard freestyle relay team as a junior. In her first year with the program, she earned runner-up honors in the 500-yard freestyle and won the 1,650-yard freestyle at the C-USA Championships.

She also earned Scholar Baller Honors her senior year for showing progression in academics over the course of her four years at SMU.

After graduating, she began working with the SMU Mustang Swim Camp, where she assisted the head coaches in teaching swimming to campers aged 9-17 years old.

A native of Wigan, Great Britain, McCall swam club for Wigan B.E.S.T. and was the senior swimmer and international representative for the squad. She also represented Great Britain in a number of international competitions including the 2007 FINA World Cup seniors 5K, 2008 European Junior Championships and 2008 South African National Open Water Championship.
