Sam Koppen was named the video operations coordinator at the University of Toledo in October of 2024. Koppen oversees all aspects of in-game entertainment and develops engaging content to enhance the fan experience and maintain high production standards throughout events.
Koppen previously served as a manager of game operations and activation for the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) from 2022-24. Prior to that, he was the manager of game presentation for the Wilmington Sharks (CPL) 2021-22. Koppen also worked as a Team Teal for UNCW Athletics from 2019-22 and was a Sergeant in the Marines from 2014-18.
A native of Spencer, Iowa, Koppen graduated from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington with a BA in recreation, tourism and sport in 2022.
