Kayla Noch enters into her fifth season with the Toledo softball program after joining in August 2022. She works primarily with the infield, catchers and hitters.

Noch has overseen seven athletes earn All-MAC honors throughout her time with UT, as well as two MAC Medal of Excellence recipients in Erin Hunt (2023) and Eli Enriquez (2026). Samantha Bolding brought home MAC Freshman of the Year accolades in 2025, becoming just the second player in program history to earn the honor.

The 2026 team tallied a fielding percentage of .973, a mark that ranked top-40 in the entire nation as well as two All-MAC honorees. In 2025, the Rockets etched their spot in the record book as they recorded the most home runs (50), best team batting average (.305) and slugging percentage (.471) in single season history. The team also scored the second-most runs in a single season (258) and the fourth-most RBIs (232).

In 2024, UT earned its first berth into the MAC Softball Championship Tournament since 2019 and improved their overall winning percentage from .245 to .531. Sidney Griffith and Riley Mohr earned all-conference honors, Mady Yackee was named to the All-MAC Freshman Team and Enriquez brought home MAC All-Tournament Team accolades. Off the field, the Rockets had 508 hours of community service and were honored with the Rocket Award for Community Service.

In her first year on staff, the Rockets turned in a 21-25 record and a 14-14 league mark. Riley Mohr and Jenna Kroll earned all-conference honors, Erin Hunt was named MAC Medal of Excellence recipient, 13 Rockets were placed on the Academic All-MAC team, and four student-athletes earned Academic All-District honors. In just two years, Noch has helped improve the Rockets' defense from a .939 fielding % to .964 taking the Rockets from last in the MAC before the change of leadership into third in the MAC overall for the 2024 season. The Rockets achieved their first berth into the MAC Softball Championship Tournament since 2019, improving UT’s overall winning percentage from .245 to a .531. The Rockets also achieved a program-best single-season batting average of .304.

Noch came to Toledo after serving as Duke University’s softball director of operations since July 2021.

During the 2022 season, Duke made it to Super Regionals for the first time in program history. During her time with the Blue Devils, Noch managed day-to-day practice operation logistics and all travel logistics for the team and supported marketing & social media efforts, game day promotions, and fundraising. When the Blue Devils were not in season, she was the lead contact for managing camp registrations, refunds, check-ins, and the overall camp experience.

Before her time at Duke, Noch spent one year as a digital content coordinator for Known Advertising, where she supported the overall marketing and advertising strategies through paid media to improve brand awareness, conversions, and customer loyalty. Her daily tasks included updating blog posts, troubleshooting, scheduling social media posts, and analyzing paid media campaigns.

Noch, a third baseman and catcher for Central Michigan under Bracamonte from 2016-19, was a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree and NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete. She was a member of SAAC for three years, was selected by CMU’s athletic director to represent the university at the Emerging Leader Council, and was a Bill Boyden Award nominee. After earning a bachelor's degree in marketing and logistics from CMU in 2019, she stayed connected to the game as a coach and instructor while pursuing a career in digital marketing.
