Brooks Jenkins is in his first season as director of player development/assistant defensive analyst for the Toledo football program. He previously worked for two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Rockets, working primarily with the defense.
Before joining the Rockets, Jenkins served as a defensive line coach for Mount Union from 2017-20 before spending the 2021 season as a graduate assistant at Eastern Michigan. During his stint with the Purple Raiders, Mount Union posted a 44-2 record with four Ohio Athletic Conference tiles and the NCAA 2017 Division III National Championship.
Jenkins was a three-year starter on the offensive line, a two-time All-OAC selection and a starter on the 2015 National Championship team. He started every at left tackle in 2016 on his way to All-American honors and the Ken Wable Award as the top lineman in the conference.
A native of Hilton Head, S.C., he graduated from Mount Union with a bachelor’s degree in sport business and a master’s degree in educational leadership.
