  • Toledo lost the Battle of I-75 for just the second time in the last 13 meetings.
  • Sophomore quarterback Dequan Finn did not play due to a lower body injury sustained vs. Ball State last week.
  • Redshirt freshman Tucker Gleason started in Finn’s place. He completed 22-of-40 passes for 329 yards and three TDs. He also rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts. The 106 yards is tied for 10th-most in a game by a Rocket quarterback.
  • Senior defensive tackle Desjuan Johnson snagged an interception in the second quarter, his first career pick in a career spanning 52 games.
  • Johnson also had 1.5 tackles for loss, giving him 43.5 for his career, fifth in Toledo history behind teammate Jamal Hines (45.0), who also had a sack and TFL in the game.
  • Junior wide receiver Jerjuan Newton caught his ninth touchdown of the season on Tuesday, the most on the team. His nine TD receptions are the most by a Rocket since 2018, when Cody Thompson (10) and Jon’Vea Johnson (nine) both reached that number.
  • Senior tight end Jamal Turner caught his eighth touchdown of the season. He has grabbed one touchdown pass in seven of the last eight games.
  • Attendance for the game was 20,027, the fourth game over 20,000 in the Glass Bowl this season.
