Toledo Post Game Notes
Toledo vs. Buffalo, Oct. 22, 2022
  • Toledo’s defense held Buffalo to just 99 yards in the first half. All three of the Bulls’ offensive touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.
  • Toledo outgained Buffalo, 438-398, and led in time of possession, 32:57-27:03.
  • Dequan Finn completed 25-of-47 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown. Finn also ran for two scores, his seventh and eighth rushing TDs of the season. He is one shy of his own school record for rushing TDs (9 in 2021) by a quarterback he shares with Bruce Gradkowski (2004) and Jim Kelso (1981).
  • Senior tight end Jamal Turner caught his sixth touchdown pass of the season. Six of his 13 receptions this year have been for scores. He has caught at least one TD pass in six of eight games. Turner has the most TD receptions by a Toledo tight end since Michael Roberts set the school mark of 16 in 2016.
  •  Adam Beale had a career-long punt return of 36 yards in the third quarter. It was the longest Rocket punt return since Diontae Johnson returned one 83 yards vs. Kent State on Nov. 15, 2018.
  • Redshirt freshman Jonathan Batzke unleashed a 91-yard punt in the fourth quarter, one yard shy of the school record of 92 set by Brandon Hannum vs. Bowling Green in 2001.
