  • Toledo’s 21-point comeback ties for the third-largest comeback in school history. The largest is a 24-point turnaround in a 32-31 win over Western Carolina in 1975.
  • Toledo has now won six straight games vs. Kent State and moves to 28-21 all-time vs. the Golden Flashes.
  • Toledo is 3-0 in MAC play for the first time since it started the MAC Championship season of 2017 with a 5-0 league record.
  • Dequan Finn completed 16-of-22 passes for 263 yards and a career-high six TDs to four different receivers. It is the fifth time he has thrown for at least three scores. His previous career high was four TDs vs. Akron in 2021.
  • Finn tied the school record for touchdown passes which is shared by Bruce Gradkowski and Logan Woodside. Gradkowski connected for six TDs vs. Buffalo in 2003 and Ball State in 2004. Woodside turned the trick vs. Tulsa in 2017.
  • Finn’s six passing touchdowns are tied for the most by an FBS quarterback this season. Seven other FBS QB’s have thrown for six touchdowns in a game this season.
  • Finn is the first quarterback in school history to account for at least seven touchdowns (six passing, one rushing) in a game. He also did not commit a turnover.
  • Finn rushed for a season-high 87 yards and a touchdown. It is the fifth time this season that Finn has rushed for at least 60 yards in a game. He leads the Rockets with 455 rushing yards this season.
  • Finn now has six rushing TDs this season and 15 in his career, moving him past Ryan Huzjak into fourth place for career rushing TDs by a Toledo quarterback. The all-time leader is Jim Kelso (24 from 1980-83).
  • Junior WR Mikel Barkley grabbed his first touchdown reception as a Rocket, a 39-yard bomb from Finn in the second quarter. He also caught an eight-yard TD in the fourth quarter.
  • Sophomore WR Jerjuan Newton caught his team-high fifth TD pass of the season, a 36-yarder in the second quarter, then caught his sixth TD pass in the fourth quarter. Newton caught five passes for a career-high 125 yards and two scores.
  • Nate Bauer grabbed his first interception of the season and fourth of his career in the third quarter.
  • Judge Culpepper led Toledo with a career-high 10 tackles.
  • The victory was the 50th for Head Coach Jason Candle, moving him into a tie for third place on Toledo's all-time list with Dan Simrell (1982-89). Gary Pinkel is the all-time leader with 73 wins from 1991-2000.
