Post-Game Notes at Ball State

  • Toledo’s defense gave up four field goals and no touchdowns. The Rockets’ defense has not allowed a touchdown in the past eight quarters.
  • Four players registered a game-high six tackles: Jonathan Jones, Judge Culpepper, Jackson Barrow, and Desjuan Johnson.
  • Redshirt freshman Dequan Finn connected on 2-of-2 passes and rushed for a career-high 106 yards on 12 carries. Finn’s 106 yards is the most by a Rocket quarterback since Mitchell Guadagni rushed for 119 yards vs. Colorado State on Sept. 21, 2019. His 70-yard touchdown run was the Rockets’ longest scoring rush since Bryant Koback scored from 75 yards out at Colorado State in Sept. 21, 2019.
  • Sophomore Carter Bradley completed 10-of-18 passes for 144 yards.
  • Devin Maddox caught a 69-yard TD pass in the first quarter, his third game this season with a reception of at least 60 yards.
  • Thomas Cluckey’s streak of 13 consecutive field goals came to an end when he missed a 41-yarder in the third quarter. He came back to hit two field goals in the fourth quarter, a 43-yard field goal, tying his career long set last week vs. Colorado State, and a 22-yarder.
  • Bryant Koback rushed for 84 yards on 23 attempts. He now has 2,908 career rushing yards. He needs 212 yards to pass Jalen Parmelee (3,119 yards from 1991-94) to move into seventh place on Toledo’s all-time list.
