Post-Game Notes at UMass

Toledo vs. UMass – Oct. 2, 2021
  • Toledo’s 45-7 victory was its largest margin of victory since a 45-0 win over Murray State in 2019.
  • Toledo’s streak of not allowing a touchdown on defense ended at 11 quarters, going back to the fourth quarter of the Notre Dame game.
  • Toledo scored 28 points off UMass turnovers, scoring three times in the first half on the very next play after the turnover – Dequan Finn’s 34-yard TD run in the first quarter, Bryant Koback’s five-yard rushing score in the second quarter and Drew Rosi’s eight-yard TD grab, also in the second quarter.
  • UMass did not get a first down until five minutes into the second quarter.
  • Sophomore Carter Bradley completed 11-of-18 passes for 110 yards.
  • Redshirt freshman Dequan Finn connected on 8-of-10 passes for 102 yards. He also rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown on five carries. Finn now has four rushing touchdowns this season, all of which have been at least 24 yards.
  • Koback rushed for 82 yards and two TDs on 11 attempts, all in the first half. He now has 2,990 career rushing yards. He needs 130 yards to pass Jalen Parmelee (3,119 yards from 1991-94) to move into seventh place on Toledo’s all-time list. He also has 34 career touchdowns, which puts him in fifth place in career Rocket rushing scores.
  • Freshman wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee caught a career-high four passes before coming out of the game in the second quarter with an apparent injury.
  • Senior tight end Drew Rosi caught his first TD pass since grabbing the game-winning TD pass in overtime against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 26, 2019.
