• This was the second meeting between Toledo and BYU. The Rockets lost to the Cougars, 55-53, in Provo in 2016.
• Senior Mitchell Guadagni completed 17-of-28 passes for 206 yards, adding 54 yards rushing on 12 attempts.
• Junior running back Shakif Seymour rushed for a season-high 96 yards. He scored once on the ground and caught an 18-yard TD pass. Sophomore running back Bryant Koback added 88 yards and one TD.
• Senior Desmond Phillips led the Rockets with five receptions.
• The Rockets' successful two-point conversion attempt in the third quarter was their first since Oct. 15, 2016 against Bowling Green.
• Kahlil Robinson's interception was his second of the season and seventh of his career. He also had a game-saving pick against Eastern Michigan in the waning seconds of a 20-15 win in 2017.
• Sophomore defensive end Desjuan Johnson had one sack, a tackle for loss, another tackle for no gain and a QB hurry, all in the first quarter. He finished the game with six tackles overall.
• Freshman Evan Davis connected field goals of 45 and 26 yards and is now 6-of-6 on the season.
• When BYU picked off a pass in the first quarter it was the first interception given up by Guadagni in 2019 and the first since the first quarter of the Buffalo game on Oct. 20, 2018, a string of 60 passes with a pick.
