Dollar General Bowl Post-Game Notes

  • Saturday marked the third time Toledo played a bowl game in Mobile. The Rockets beat UTEP in the 2005 GMAC Bowl, 45-13, and they defeated Arkansas State 63-44 in the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl.
  • Toledo now owns a record of 11-6 all-time in bowl games.
  • Senior quarterback Logan Woodside will finish his career owning several school records, including passing yards (10,514), touchdowns (93), and 300-yard passing games (17).
  • Senior running back Terry Swanson finishes his career with 1,363 rushing yards, good for fourth all-time in program history.
  • Sophomore wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught two passes for 21 yards on Saturday, setting a new Toledo single-season record for receiving yards (1,278). He passes Cody Thompson, who tallied 1,269 yards in 2016.
  • Junior defensive end Olasunkanmi Adeniyi will finish the season with 20.0 tackles for loss, just the fifth individual season of at least 20 TFL in Rocket history.
  • Junior kicker Jameson Vest made converted 25 of his field goal attempts and 56 of his PATs, accounting for 131 points in the kicking game, a single-season school record. His 25 field goals are also a Toledo single-season record.
  • Six different Rockets caught at least two passes.
