POST-GAME NOTES FROM UT’S 74-72 LOSS TO NORTHERN ILLINOIS
• Toledo lost for just the second time in 10 home games this season.
• UT has dropped five of its last six decisions vs. Northern Illinois including three straight defeats in Savage Arena.
• The Rockets lost for just the fourth time in 13 contests when shooting 45 percent or higher from the field.
• Toledo lost for just the second time in 11 contests when having a better shooting mark than its opponent.
• UT posted a 53.1 FG%, marking the third time in last four contests it has topped the 50-percent mark.
• The Rockets were outrebounded by their opposition for the fifth time in six games and are 2-5 when losing the battle of the boards.
• Toledo was limited to a season-low two offensive rebounds.
• UT had less than three players score in double figures for just the second time this season.
• Sophomore Jaelan Sanford’s 29 points were one point shy of the most by a Rocket this season.
• Sanford also tied career highs for field goals (9), FG attempts (14) and registered a season-high four treys.
• Senior Steve Taylor Jr. dished out a career-high nine assists and his 17-rebound total matched his second-best rebound total this season.
• Senior Jonathan Williams has scored in double digits on a team-high 20 occasions and has a team-best 13 20-point outings. Williams hasn’t led UT in scoring in four straight games after having led the Rockets in points in the nine previous contests.
• Williams is five points away from moving into eighth place on Toledo’s all-time scoring list. Casey Shaw (1994-98) ranks eighth with 1,562 points and Tom Kozelko (1970-73) is ninth with 1,561 points.
