Post Game Notes

Tonight’s win improves Toledo’s record to 19-2 against MAC East Division opponents since 2010. The first defeat came in the form of a 31-29 loss to Akron on Nov. 29, 2013 and the second was last week, on Thursday, Oct. 27, when Ohio beat the Rockets 31-26.

Senior TE Michael Roberts recorded his 10th touchdown reception of the season with an 18-yard grab as time expired in the first half. The 10 touchdowns sets a new single-season school record for touchdown receptions from a tight end.

Senior RB Kareem Hunt recorded 17 carries for 136 yards, taking his career total to 4,396 yards. He surpasses Wasean Tait’s mark of 4,338 career yards for second all-time in UT history.

Senior RB Kareem Hunt eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the fourth time this season and the 24th time in his career. He trails only Chester Taylor’s 27 100-yard performances.

Senior WR Corey Jones hauled in four passes for 30 yards and has now recorded a reception in 34-consecutive contests.

Toledo compiled 622 yards of total offense (332 passing, 290 rushing). The Rockets have surpassed the 500-yard mark for the seventh time in nine games this season.

The Rockets put together a 16 play, 89-yard drive that spanned a season-long 7:10. The drive was capped with a 23-yard field goal by Jameson Vest.

Toledo’s win brings the series record against Akron to 10-9 all-time.
