Gretchen Buskirk is in her second year as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Toledo. Buskirk is assigned to women's soccer and also supervises the graduate assistant athletic trainer in the sports of baseball and softball.
Buskirk arrives in Toledo following three years at Furman University in Greenville, SC. During her time with the Paladins, she worked directly with the women's soccer and women's basketball programs. She also coordinated the student-assistant scheduling in the Furman athletic training room, as well as spearheading the preventative ACL strengthening program for female student-athletes with video analysis.
Buskirk joined the Paladins' staff in July 2006 after she received her master's degree in education from North Carolina State, while working with the Wolfpack men's and women's cross country and track and field team.
A native of Richmond, VA, Buskirk earned her bachelor of science degree from Elon University in 2004, where she worked with the Phoenix's baseball, men's soccer, women's track and field and men's basketball squads.
Buskirk is certified as a National Registry Emergency Medical Technician and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
