Women's soccer begins a two-match week on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Detroit Mercy, as the Rockets look for a sixth-straight win over the Titans. Streaming will be on ESPN+. Toledo then heads home for the home opener on Sunday, Aug. 23, taking on Mercyhurst at 1 p.m. at Paul Hotmer Field. Five Rocket seniors will be honored before the match for Senior Day - Carys Bourbeau, Keeley Clinton, Kaitlyn Colvert, Kayla Flory and Emma Rhoades. Sunday's match will air on BCSN and ESPN+, and will mark the first-ever meeting between the Rockets and Lakers. Toledo fell, 2-1, in Sunday's season opener at Dayton, with an 89th-minute goal standing as the winner. Sophomore Ella Zoerhoff scored for Toledo in the seventh minute, Toledo's earliest goal in a season since 2009. Paige Dornheggen made seven saves in net, a career high.

Volleyball returns to Savage Arena for a ticketed exhibition match against Ferris State on Saturday. The Rockets will celebrate the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship with a banner unveiling prior to the match. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 3:50 p.m. with first serve at 4 p.m.
