Rockets will wear new apparel at select home events
TOLEDO, Ohio — The University of Toledo is bringing the spirit of its hometown to center stage with the unveiling of a new apparel collection inspired by the city it proudly calls home.
Â
The Glass City edition introduces Glass City Blue, a new color to the Rockets' visual identity, paired with Glass City Script that connects the look directly to the university and its community.
Â
"This apparel is a reflection of what makes Toledo special — our pride, our people and our strong sense of community," said Toledo Vice President and Director of Athletics Tom Moreland. "When our student-athletes wear this color and script, they will be representing more than the University of Toledo. They will be representing the city and the generations of Toledoans who have helped make this community what it is. We are proud to celebrate that connection and bring a little more of Toledo with us wherever our Rockets compete."
Â
This light blue shade was chosen to represent the soul and skyline of Toledo, and it references Toledo's city flag introduced in 2025.
Â
The Glass City Script is a nod to Toledo's script as seen in action on campus.
Â
The Midnight Blue stroke solidifies the logo, and maintains Toledo's iconic Midnight Blue to help the logo stand out.
Â
Known as the Glass City, Toledo has a rich history shaped by innovation, hard work and a deep connection to the Maumee River. The new uniforms celebrate that identity, drawing inspiration from the colors and character that define the city — from the blue of the Toledo sky and river to the unmistakable grit that has shaped generations of Toledoans.
Â
The alternate uniforms represent more than a change in appearance. They are a tribute to the city, its people and the enduring relationship between UT and the community it has called home for more than a century.
Â
The Glass City Blue/Glass City Script will make their debut during the upcoming athletic season.
Â
Glass City merchandise is available through Athlete's Thread and the NIL Store.Â
