
9/11 Memorial Stair Climb set for the Glass Bowl

Public is welcome at 25th anniversary event
TOLEDO, Ohio — The University of Toledo Athletics Department will host a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Friday, Sept. 11, at the Glass Bowl, inviting the public to gather in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. The event will start with a ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on the field, followed by the Memorial Stair Climb at 9:15 a.m. It is scheduled to conclude at noon.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is organized by Toledo Athletics and the University of Toledo ROTC in partnership with the City of Toledo Fire & Rescue Department and the Toledo Police Department. The event is designed to honor the firefighters and police officers who climbed the 110 stories of the World Trade Center during the Sept. 11 attacks.
Free parking will be available in Lot 10. ROTC will provide breakfast upon completion of the stair climb. Memorial t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event through ROTC.Â
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony and stair climb will be moved to Savage Arena.
Current UT Faculty & Staff and Students can fill out the waiver at this link. Printed copies will be available for the public to fill out at the Glass Bowl on the day of the event.Â
