Toledo earns most Academic All-District selections in program history
TOLEDO, Ohio – Eight Toledo football student-athletes, the maximum number of possible selections, were named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday.

Dylan Cunanan, Emilio Duran, Carter Fouty, Dylan Hohler, Brian Keane, James Roe, Sam Smith, Jr. and Connor Walendzak were each named to the squad. The eight Academic All-District selections marks the most in a season in program history.

Duran, Fouty and Walendzak each earned their second selections to Academic All-District Teams. All others were first-time honorees.

The Academic All-District distinction recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, student-athletes must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 90% or start at least 66% of their institution's games.

The CSC Academic All-America teams will be voted on by CSC members and announced on Jan. 27.
