Patricia Anumgba Named MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women's basketball graduate student Patricia Anumgba has been named the Mid-American Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

In Toledo's 70-49 win against Northern Illinois on Jan. 14, Anumgba broke out for 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting, 4-of-6 from three-point range, five steals and four rebounds. She scored 17 points in the second half as Toledo ran away from the Huskies.

Anumgba set or matched season highs in points, field goals made, steals and three-point field goals made. She also tied career highs in field goals made and steals, and came within four points of her career best.

The MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week award is given to one male and one female student-athlete from its conference institutions who has at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and has a worthy performance during that week's competition. Anumgba is currently studying business foundations and holds a 3.890 cumulative GPA.

Anumgba and the Rockets are back on the court on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Ohio. Tipoff is at 1:00 p.m.
