TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo student-athletes
Kaema Amachree and
Joshuah Taylor have been nominated for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Fall Team.
Amachree, a Haslett, Mich. native, is a senior forward on the women's soccer team. She has tallied eight goals, including the game winner against Akron in 2024, and scored 18 points throughout her career as a Rocket. Amachree has volunteered with various local organizations including the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Club of Ohio.
Taylor is from Bryan, Ohio and is a senior on the men's cross country team. He helped the Rockets win their first-ever conference crown in 2024, posting a 12
th-place individual finish in the MAC Championship race. Taylor is a self-taught woodworker and has spent time working alongside the UT College of Engineering to build out a workshop in the Paul Hotmer Makerspace on campus. He helped get various types of woodworking equipment and supplies for the space in addition to teaching courses to staff, students and the Toledo community within the makerspace.
Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced the student-athlete nominees for the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall), celebrating their leadership beyond sports. This year, the program expanded to honor both male and female student-athletes from all sports and divisions for their commitment to community service, academic excellence and athletics achievement.Â
The final roster of 20 award recipients announced later this August will be comprised of:
- 10 female student-athletes
- 10 male student-athletes
A distinguished selection committee of athletics directors, former athletes and industry leaders will select the final 20-member team. One student captain will also be named to represent the group.
