TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's and women's cross country programs have announced their 2025 schedules, Director of Cross Country and Track & Field
Andrea Grove-McDonough announced on Wednesday.
The 2025 schedule includes four regular season meets before competing in the Mid-American Conference Championship and NCAA Regional Championships. The Toledo women will be going for their fifth consecutive MAC Championship while the Rocket men are looking to earn their first-ever back-to-back conference crowns.
Toledo will kick off the season at the Michigan Open on Aug. 29 hosted by the University of Michigan. Next, the Rockets will compete at the Mel Brodt Collegiate Open on Friday, Sept. 12 in Bowling Green, Ohio. UT will compete twice in October, beginning with the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago on Friday, Oct. 3. The Rockets will then split their squads on Oct. 17, with competition at Wisconsin's Nuttycombe Invitational and Princeton's Fall Classic.
Postseason competition begins with the MAC Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturday, Nov. 1. Toledo will look to defend both its men's and women's titles from 2024.
Postseason competition continues with the NCAA Great Lakes Cross Country Regional Championship on Friday, Nov. 14 in Evansville, Ind. The NCAA Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Evansville, Ind. The women's squad placed third out of 32 teams in last season's regional championship and competed in the NCAA Cross Country Championships for the second time in three years. The men's team earned an 11
th-place finish and sent its first individual qualifier to the NCAA Championships since 1975.
