TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team continues outdoor competition at the Hillsdale Last Chance meet in Hillsdale, Mich. on Wednesday. Nine Rockets will see action beginning with the long jump at 11:00 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Toledo distance runners had an impressive outing at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic last weekend.
Laura Nicholson broke the program record and owns the best 800m time in the Mid-American Conference with her final time of 2:04.80. Nicholson earned MAC Track Athlete of the Week for her performance as well.
Junior
Karina James etched her name in the record book, recording the ninth-best 1500m time in Toledo history (4:23.01) and the seventh-best 800m time (2:09.95).
Hailey Slagle took sixth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.88, while
Nora Hark earned sixth in the javelin with a final mark of 39.90m.
Alex Bauer and
Lianna Surtz recorded top-10 finishes in both the 1500m and the 800m.
