AVON, Ohio – Three Toledo baseball student-athletes in
Ryan Kennedy,
Caden Konczak and
Luke Leto were each named to the MAC All-Tournament Team after the conclusion of the MAC Tournament on Sunday.

Each player earned his first selection to the league's All-Tournament Team with Toledo's run to the MAC Tournament Championship Game.

Kennedy keyed the Rockets' elimination of Kent State with a two-hitter over six innings pitched. He allowed just two runs against one of the league's top offenses and struck out a career-high eight batters. After loading the bases with no outs in the fifth and Toledo up 4-1, Kennedy rallied to allow just one run while striking out the side.

Konczak slashed .292/.433/.750 during the tournament with a tournament-high three home runs and five RBIs, along with two doubles. He homered in wins over Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan and Kent State, and produced multi-hit contests against Bowling Green and Ball State. He had at least one RBI in each of Toledo's four victories. In the field, Konczak displayed a web-gem catch during the sixth inning of Sunday's championship game against Miami.

Leto carried over his hot hitting from the end of the regular season, leading the tournament with nine hits, seven RBIs and 19 total bases, with a .391 average and two home runs. He had three multi-hit games, including a 2-for-3 performance with three RBIs, two runs scored, a double and a triple against Bowling Green, as well as a 3-for-4 night with two RBIs and two runs against Kent State. He clobbered home runs against Eastern Michigan and Kent State. Â Â

Kennedy, Konczak and Leto helped the Rockets to their third all-time appearance in the conference championship game and first since 2009. Toledo won a program-record four games in the tournament, including three-straight elimination contests over Eastern Michigan, Ball State and Kent State.
The All-Tournament Team consisted of 10 student-athletes. Among the schools competing in the tournament, Miami had four selection, Toledo had three, Ball State had two and Eastern Michigan had one.
