Toledo Traveling to Muncie for MAC Championships

Rockets playing 18 holes each day Sunday-Tuesday at Delaware Country Club
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's golf team will travel to Muncie, Ind. this weekend for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships. The 54-hole tournament will include 10 schools and be played at the par-72, 6,053-yard Delaware Country Club on Sunday-Tuesday, April 20-22. Tee times will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday and Monday and 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets' tee times on Sunday will be from 10:20-11:00 a.m., with Monday's and Tuesday's times determined by the team standings following each round.
A studio show will be streamed on ESPN+ on Monday and Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. The show will include highlights as well interviews with coaches and student-athletes.
THE FIELD
• Ten schools are participating in the MAC Championships.
• Kent State is the only school to win the MAC Championship in its 25-year history. The Golden Flashes are ranked No. 51 in national computer rankings (Clippd) with Eastern Michigan the next MAC school appearing at No. 125.

ROCKETS AT THE MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
• Redshirt freshman Valeria Lizcano is leading the Rockets with a 76.5 stroke average with senior Yedam Lee (76.9) and Brooklyn Millard (77.1) ranking second and third, respectively.
• Lee posted an 11th-place finish at last year's MAC Championships. She also tied for 14th place as a freshman in 2022.
• The Rockets have finished as the runner-up in six of the last 11 MAC Championships and placed in the top four in eight of those years.
• Toledo's all-time showings in the event have included seven second-place (2006, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2024), seven third-place (1999, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015), five fourth-place (2000, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2021), four fifth-place (2005, 2009, 2017, 2023) and two sixth-place (2011, 2022) finishes.
LAST TIME OUT
Toledo posted 3-2 victories over Bowling Green and Dayton in the I-75 Match Play Challenge last Saturday at the Legacy Golf Club. Medal match play determined the outcome of each match.
Freshmen Brooklyn Millard and Emily Young each won their matches for the Rockets. Senior Yedam Lee provided the Rockets the decisive win at No. 1 against the Falcons. Senior Kyleigh Dull registered Toledo's third victory over the Flyers at No. 3.
ON THE HORIZON
The winning team at the 2025 MAC Championships will qualify for NCAA Regionals action on May 5-7.
