TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team plays its 29th and final game of the regular-season schedule in a battle with Kent State on Saturday, March 8. Tipoff from the M.A.C. Center will be at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN+, WCWA 1230 AM and The Varsity Network app.

The Rockets (22-6, 13-4) are winners of 10 of the last 11 games and have clinched the No. 2 seed in next week's MAC Tournament in Cleveland. The Golden Flashes (19-11, 11-6 MAC) are fourth in the league standings, one game behind Buffalo and one game ahead of Miami and Bowling Green.

Toledo defeated Northern Illinois on Wednesday, 79-70 in DeKalb. The Rockets took the lead in the early minutes and extended the advantage to double digits for much of the second half.
Sammi Mikonowicz led with 19 points on 7-of-13 from the field and added seven rebounds.

Kent State lost to Bowling Green on the road, 84-61 on Wednesday, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Jenna Batsch led KSU with 25 points and surpassed 500 for the season.

Toledo leads the all-time series, 51-35 and is 18-16 on the road. The Rockets took a 70-59 decision at Savage Arena back on Jan. 8.

Rocket Lock Up No. 2 Tourney Seed
- Toledo's win on Wednesday coupled with losses by Buffalo and Kent State have earned the Rockets the No. 2 seed in the MAC Tournament.
- Toledo will enter the tournament as a top-two seed for the fourth-consecutive season.

- Sammi Mikonowicz dazzled for 19 points against Northern Illinois, setting the tone with two threes as Toledo grabbed an early 9-2 lead.
- Mikonowicz reached 19 points for the fifth time this season, seven field goals for the sixth time and has grabbed at least seven rebounds 14 times on the year.
- Mikonowicz played 35 minutes, enough to pass Rocket great Sophia Wiard for the most all-time minutes played in program history. Mikonowicz has played 4,962 minutes in her Rocket career.
- The Rossford, Ohio native is just 18 rebounds from breaking the program's all-time rebound record, having collected 1,070 boards in her career. She is eighth in the league with 6.29 rebounds/game this season.
