Rocket relay teams take fifth and eighth in first events of conference championships
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team kicked off the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championship meet with a fifth-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay and an eighth-place finish in the 200 medley relay on Wednesday in Buffalo, N.Y.
In the first event of the conference championship, Leah Evans, Mackenzie Bushey, Sydney Conrad and Audrey Zimmerman tallied a final time of 1:42.29 in the 200 medley relay, the best time for the Rockets this season, finishing in eighth place.
Rosie Richards, Janne Slegers, Molly Pressler and Nejla Karic followed with a final time of 7:22.38 in the 800 freestyle to take fifth place. The final mark was over four seconds faster than last year's final time at MACs (7:27.12).
UP NEXT
Toledo will continue competition at the 2025 MAC Championships on Thursday. Preliminaries will begin at 10:00 a.m. with finals set to start at 6:00 p.m.
