Rockets grab fourth-consecutive win in match in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Toledo men's tennis team swept Davenport (Mich.), 7-0, to earn its fourth-consecutive victory in a match in Orlando, Fla. on Wednesday.

Toledo (6-4) claimed the doubles point behind wins on the No. 1 court from Poonthong Komolpisut and Lucas Britez on the No. 1 court and Joshua Mackey and Hanamichi Carvajal on the No. 3 court, both 6-2.

The Rockets carried the momentum into singles play and won each court. Carvajal and Komolpisut grabbed straight-set victories on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts, respectively. On the No. 3 court, Matias Olivero earned a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 win.

Toledo finished strong on the final three singles courts. Lucas Britez, Joshua Mackey and Charlie Snow each tallied wins, with Mackey and Snow claiming straight-set victories.

UP NEXT
Toledo will begin MAC play with a trip to Muncie, Ind. to face Ball State (6-4) on Friday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m.
