KENT, Ohio – The Toledo men's basketball team lost at Kent State, 105-65, on Tuesday night in the M.A.C. Center. The defeat leaves the Rockets (16-12, 9-6 MAC) in a third-place tie in the Mid-American Conference standings with the Golden Flashes (19-9, 9-6 MAC) and Ohio (15-13, 9-6 MAC).
Sam Lewis led Toledo offensively with 17 points. He was joined in double figures by
Sonny Wilson (13 pts.),
Isaiah Adams (10 pts.) and
Javan Simmons (10 pts.).
Toledo led 9-7 following
Sam Lewis' two free throws with 16:25 remaining in the first half. Kent State went on a 12-0 run to take a 19-9 lead four minutes later. The Rockets trailed at halftime by a 54-30 margin.
