NIL Partnership Creates Dream Car Reveal for Two Toledo Women’s Basketball Student-Athletes

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women's basketball student-athletes Kendall Carruthers and Ella Weaver received new cars from Jim White Toyota through a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) partnership on Monday.

This reveal marks the third consecutive season that Jim White Toyota and NIL agency Urban Adrenaline Sports have teamed up to support Toledo women's basketball student-athletes through the car giveaway. Both organizations have committed to empowering Toledo's female student-athletes through NIL opportunities.

The surprise reveal occurred at Savage Arena. Student-athletes and staff were not given prior knowledge as to which players would receive the cars.

"I'm actually very surprised that I got the new car, but I'm very excited and grateful," said Carruthers. "It shows how many things you can accomplish when you come to the University of Toledo. I cannot thank Jim White Toyota enough."

"I'm just so excited, and in disbelief and shock," said Weaver. "I've seen teammates in the past years get these cars, but I didn't really think it would be something that would happen to me. For it to happen, I'm just so grateful and so excited to try the new car with all of my friends."

The partnership between Toledo women's basketball student-athletes and Jim White Toyota stands out as a unique partnership for women's sports among NCAA institutions.
