TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women's swimming and diving returns to action with a pair of dual meets against Marshall on Friday and Miami on Saturday. The Rockets and the Herd will get on the starting blocks at 5:00 p.m. Saturday's Mid-American Conference meet vs. the Redhawks will begin at 1:00 p.m. Both meets are at the UT Student Recreation Center Pool. Admission to the events is free.
LAST TIME OUT
Toledo competed in the Magnus Cup Invitational hosted by Cleveland State on Nov. 21-23, 2024. The Rockets placed sixth in the multi-team event. Sophomore
Leah Evans placed third in the 100 butterfly (54.35) and the 100 backstroke (54.34). Freshman
Rosie Richards earned third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.10.
Three Rockets registered Top 10 times in program history throughout the Magnus Cup. Richards moved into seventh in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.10 while sophomore
Gracie Pardue took ninth in the 100 backstroke with a mark of 56.13. Evans is second all-time in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.34 and remains sixth-place in the 100 butterfly.
ABOUT MARSHALL
Marshall owns an overall record of 3-1, earning wins over Buffalo, James Madison and FIU while falling to Duquesne. The Herd won 11 events in their last meet against FIU while freshman Kseniia Luniushina broke school records in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
ABOUT MIAMI
Miami enters with an overall record of 3-2, most recently defeating Oakland on Nov. 16, 2024. The Redhawks won 14 events, including the 400 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. Miami also took home wins on both the 1M and 3M diving boards.
SERIES HISTORY
Toledo leads the all-time history against Marshall, 5-3. The last meeting between the Rockets and the Herd came on Jan. 27, 2024 in Huntington, W. Va.
Miami owns the all-time series, 20-3. The last dual competition between the conference foes was on Jan. 28, 2023 in Oxford, Ohio.

Free parking for the meet is available in Lot 18, located behind the Student Rec Center. For all other lots, vehicles must be registered at parkutoledo.edu.
UP NEXT
Toledo will head to Ypsilanti, Mich. to take on Eastern Michigan on Friday, Jan. 17. The meet is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
