Andre Fuller is a senior on the football team. He is moving to cornerback this season after playing two seasons at safety for the Rockets. A native of Loxahatachee, Fla., Fuller played two seasons at Arkansas Pine-Bluff before transferring to Toledo. He is a business management major who will graduate in December.

On His Family
"I grew up in rural Palm Beach, Florida. My mom is Fran Edmond. She raised me through most of my life. She's my rock. I have five siblings. I'm the oldest. My youngest sister is one year old. I have brothers in eighth grade and kindergarten, a sister in seventh grade who lives in Tennessee, and another sister in ninth grade."

"I was making bottles and changing diapers from an early age. I've done everything. I definitely hated it at the time, changing Pampers in middle school. But it definitely made me more mature, knowing that I have to be a role model for them."

On why he transferred to Toledo
"I had a good relationship with Coach (Ross) Watson. He coached my cousin Cre'von LeBlanc when he was at FAU. So I felt like it would be a good relationship coming here."

On moving from safety to cornerback
"Knowing how to play safety will help me be more of a communicator on the field, maybe help take some of the slack off the safeties, knowing that I know the call just as much as they do."

On what he learned from former Rocket cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Chris McDonald
"Keep your head down and work. Neither of those guys were talkers; they were workers."

On playing other sports growing up
"I never wanted to do anything else but play football. I tried to run track my freshman year of high school and the track coach was like, 'Nah, just keep playing football.'"

On life after football
"My stepdad owns a couple of businesses. He does taxes and real estate. I talk to him every now and then about business. He tells me what he's doing and how it relates to what I'm learning in school. So if football doesn't work out, I feel like I have a backup plan."
