Three Rockets in Top 10 with Valeria Lizcano one shot out of lead

PORT CLINTON, Ohio – The Toledo women's golf team has three individuals in the Top 10 and sits in first place following Monday's first two rounds of the Rocket Classic. The Rockets' 36-hole total of 601 at the Catawba Island Club leads second-place Akron by four shots and Purdue Fort Wayne, Ohio and Central Michigan by 10 strokes.

Redshirt freshman Valeria Lizcano is leading the way for the Rockets and tied for second place at four-over par 148 (72-76) at the Catawba Island Club. She played a nearly flawless opening round with one par and one bogey. Lizcano trails the Chippewas' Ella Zanatta by just one shot in the individual standings.

Senior Kyleigh Dull (75-74=149) and freshman Brooklyn Millard (73-77=150) are tied for fifth and seventh place, respectively.

The remainder of the Rockets' lineup includes senior Yedam Lee (T-19^th/77-77=154) and freshman Emily Young (45^th/82-83=165). Sophomore Mia Natividad is competing as an individual and tied for 48^th place with a 36-hole score of 167.

The third and final round of the tournament will begin tomorrow morning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
