Granger named Offensive Player of the Week, Abraham and Hatkevich named Setters of the Week
TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo outside hitter Izzy Granger was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week while Macy Hatkevich and Ella Abraham earned Setters of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday.
The honors come after Toledo (6-3) swept the Rocket Invitational, defeating Eastern Washington, Northern Kentucky and Marshall at Savage Arena this weekend.
Granger was named the Rocket Invite MVP after totaling 41 kills and 35 digs during the weekend. The junior tallied five service aces, three of which came in the third set against Marshall to help secure the sweep. The Findlay, Ohio native recorded two consecutive double-doubles, totaling 13 kills and 12 digs against Northern Kentucky (Sept. 13) and 14 kills and 14 digs against Marshall (Sept. 14). Against Marshall, Granger set a career-high with a hitting percentage of .542. Granger had a final hitting percentage of .267 on the weekend, tallying only 14 errors through three matches.
Hatkevich and Abraham helped the Rockets total 163 kills and an overall hitting percentage of .279 during the tournament. Together, the setters recorded 123 assists, averaging 11.2 per set. Hatkevich was named to the All-Tournament team after tallying 67 assists and 30 digs through all three matches and added four service aces. Ella Abraham totaled 56 assists, 15 digs and poured in four service aces and four kills.

The Rockets close out non-conference play at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sept. 19-21. Toledo will open the tournament against Belmont on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 5:00 p.m.
