TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team announced its 2024-25 non-conference schedule on Wednesday, with its season set to begin on Nov. 4 in Savage Arena with the MAC-Sun Belt Conference Challenge.
 
The 11-game non-conference slate features five games at Savage Arena, a matchup against back-to-back national runners-up, and opponents from at least six different Division I conferences.
 
"I am excited to share the non conference schedule with our Rocket fans!," Head Coach Ginny Boggess said. "We will continue to compete with elite programs across the country, and our schedule will help us prepare for the rigors of MAC play."
 
Toledo bookends its non-conference slate with the MAC-SBC Challenge, facing opponents yet to be determined from the Sun Belt Conference on Nov. 4 in its season opener in Savage Arena and on the road on Feb. 8. Toledo swept the challenge last year with a wild come-from-behind victory against James Madison in November before notching a February home triumph over Louisiana Monroe.
 
Toledo will then head to Iowa City for a date with national runner-up Iowa on Nov. 13. The Rockets and Hawkeyes will meet for the first time ever in the November meeting.
 
The Rockets will then head home for games against Northern Kentucky (Nov. 17) and Long Beach State (Nov. 22). Toledo will also be facing both the Norse and the 49ers for the first time ever.
 
UT will play the first of two multi-day events, the first of which will feature Maryland, George Mason and Navy at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Toledo then returns to Savage Arena for a matchup against Mercyhurst College on Dec. 6.
 
The Rockets' second multi-day event will be at the Cherokee Invite in Cherokee, N.C. on Dec. 18 and 19. Toledo will play its first game against either Liberty or Troy and its second game the following day against Arkansas, Liberty or Troy. Toledo then heads home to wrap up the non-conference home schedule on Saturday, Dec. 28 against Defiance College.
 
In addition to the non-conference schedule, Toledo also announced a pre-season exhibition against Findlay that will take place on Sunday, Oct. 27 in Savage Arena.
 
All game times and TV networks are to be announced, and the 2024-25 Mid-American Conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
