Senior is at two-under par through 36 holes at Lewis Chitengwa Memorial

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior Jamie Tofte Nielsen is tied for 11^th place at two-under par 140 to lead the Toledo men's golf team in Monday's first two rounds of Virginia's Lewis Chitengwa Memorial. The tournament includes six schools ranked in the nation's Top 40 and is being held at the par-71, 7,116-yard Birdwood Golf Course.

Nielsen (72-68) was in the red the entire afternoon after birdieing his first hole of the second round. Junior CJ Van Wyk led the Rockets with eight birdies today and is tied for 18^th place at one-over par 143.

Senior Barend Botha is tied for 36^th place with a four-over 146, senior Palmer Yenrick is tied for 72^nd place at 12-over 154 (80-74), and sophomore Mads Jensen is tied for 75^th place at 14-over par 156 (79-77).

No. 7 Tennessee is leading the 13-team field with an impressive 23-under par 545, 17 strokes in front of No. 6 Florida State (562).

Toledo will begin the third and final round of the tournament tomorrow off the No. 10 tee at 9:29 a.m.
