DETROIT, Mich. – Former Toledo football standout Quinyon Mitchell received an invite and will attend the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit later this month.

Mitchell earned each one of the five major All-American distinctions across his final two seasons at Toledo, the only Rocket ever to be named to all five in his career. In 2023, he was named First Team All-America by The Athletic and Second Team All-America by USA Today, Associated Press, FWAA, Sporting News and AFCA.

Over his Toledo career, the Willston, Fla. native totaled 122 tackles with 6.5 TFLs, defended 52 passes, came up with six interceptions and added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also scored on two pick-sixes in the 2022 season.

Mitchell impressed scouts at the NFL combine last month, posting an overall best score among cornerbacks of 90, the best bench press score of 20 and finishing second in the 40-yard dash at 4.33. Mitchell also posted a vertical of 38" and 10'2" in the broad jump.

Toledo football has had nine players drafted across the last seven NFL drafts and had 13 players on NFL rosters as of the end of last season.

The 2024 NFL Draft will be held April 25-27 in downtown Detroit and will air on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.

Mitchell is one of 13 invitees which accepted their invitations to attend the Draft and the only player not from a Power Five institution.
