TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo's Riley Mohr was named Mid-American Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for her performance at Long Beach State and the CSF/ LBSU Tournament last week.

A native of Bellevue, Ohio, Mohr was 9-for-18 at the plate with four doubles and three RBIs over six games. In Wednesday's nightcap vs. Cal. State Fullerton, UT trailed 2-0 late until Mohr broke up the shutout with an RBI single in the sixth. In Friday's doubleheader sweep over Yale (8-5) and Princeton (12-2, 6 inn.), Mohr hit a two-run double to give UT its first lead against the Bulldogs and had another RBI single for the Rockets' first run vs. Princeton.

The MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. Each week, schools are asked to nominate one male and one female among their varsity teams that are in season at the time. The winner is selected by a group of conference faculty athletic representatives.

Mohr, a fifth-year senior, graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in December 2023 with a 3.583 GPA, and is working towards a master's degree in engineering.

Toledo begins MAC play this weekend with a three-game series at Akron on Friday-Saturday, March 15-16 at the Lee R. Jackson Softball Complex.
