Six Rockets earn academic honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Six student-athletes from the Toledo men's cross country teams were named Academic All-MAC for the 2024 season, the league office announced on Thursday. Sophomore Max Matolin led the Rocket with a 3.968 grade point average.

Senior Geoff Howles and junior Joshuah Taylor took home the honor for a second-straight season. Redshirt freshman Alex Martinez, and sophomores Joad Martinho, Max Matolin and Peter McMahon were first-time honorees.

To qualify, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher academic standing, have maintained a 3.20 GPA or higher and competed in 50% of contests during the 2024 season.
