Elisha Dykstra and Camryn VandenBosch to join Rockets for 2025-26 season
TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo Head Coach Ginny Boggess announced the signings of Elisha Dykstra and Camryn VandenBosch to the program for the Class of 2025 on the first day of the Division I women's basketball signing period on Wednesday.
Dykstra and Vandenbosch have been standouts at the high school level in Michigan and will compete as freshmen during the 2025-26 season. The future Rockets are currently beginning their senior high school seasons.
"We've hit the jackpot with two complete players who love the game and love their teammates," said Boggess. "At 6-foot and 5-11, Camryn and Elisha bring much-needed size to our perimeter arsenal. Both flourish in pace and have a winning pedigree. I'm thrilled to welcome them to Team Toledo."
The following is a closer look at Toledo's incoming recruiting class:
Elisha Dykstra | Guard | 5'11" | Comstock Park, Mich./West Catholic
Elisha Dykstra brings all-conference and honorable mention all-state recognition, along with a Miss Basketball runner-up as a sophomore. She has been a part of three-straight state semifinal runs and one appearance in the MHSAA Division 2 Championship Game. West Catholic has put up an impressive 73-5 record over the last three seasons with Dykstra on the roster.
Dykstra is a four-sport athlete at West Catholic, also lettering in soccer, track & field and golf. In travel basketball, Dykstra competes for Michigan Basketball Academy (MBA). She is the younger sister of current Rocket Cadence Dykstra.
Boggess on Dykstra: "Elisha is a gritty competitor and embodies the level of toughness and IQ we celebrate in our program. She thrives in an up-tempo setting and can play multiple positions. She's a Swiss Army Knife and can impact the game in a variety of ways. It will be very special to see Elisha and Cadence team up as sisters to bring more banners to Savage Arena."
Camryn VandenBosch | Guard | 6'0" | Holland, Mich./Holland Christian
Camryn VandenBosch is a team captain at Holland Christian and has earned numerous awards including First-Team All-OK Conference three times, Holland Sentinel All-Area Team and Detroit Free Press All-State honorable mention. She has averaged 11.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks in her high school career thus far.
VandenBosch also plays soccer at Holland Christian and competes with Michigan Basketball Academy for travel ball.
Boggess on VandenBosch: "Camryn immediately caught my attention with her competitiveness and elite ability to shoot it from deep. She adds size and depth to our guard rotation and is relentless on the glass. I can't wait to hear Savage Arena erupt after she splashes a deep three."
