Andrea Grove-McDonough released the 2023 schedules for the men's and women's cross country teams on Thursday. The Rockets will make their season debut with an appearance at Akron's 54
th Annual Tommy Evans Invitational in Norton, Ohio on Friday, Sept. 1. Â

The Toledo women's will head into the season as the two-time defending Mid-American Conference Champions. The men's team, which finished second in the MAC the past two seasons, is determined to reach the top of the MAC under the direction of first-year associate head coach
Tito Medrano.

Two weeks after the opener at Akron, the Rockets will compete at Bowling Green's Mel Brodt Collegiate Open on Friday, Sept. 15, followed by a trip to the windy city on Friday, Sept. 29 to race at Loyola's Lakefront Invitational in Chicago, Ill. The Rockets will return to Bowling Green on Friday, Oct. 13 for the Falcon Invitational.
A strong group of women's runners will look to shake up the competition again at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wis. on Friday, Oct. 13 to close out the regular season. At last season's race, the Rockets finished 12th overall and ahead of some of the top women's programs in the country, including Wisconsin, Syracuse, Michigan, Michigan State, Washington, Arkansas, Indiana, and Iowa State.
Bowling Green is this year's host for the 2023 MAC Championships which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Mel Brodt Cross Country Course. The women's team will look for a three-peat for the conference title, while the men's team will strive for its first championship in program history after finishing runner-up in 2021 and 2022.
Wisconsin will host this year's NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Friday, Nov. 10 at the Zimmerman Championship Course. The 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 in Charlottesville, Va.
