TOLEDO, Ohio – Coming off its championship-winning season, the Toledo women's basketball program announced its robust 2023-24 non-conference schedule today.

Highlighting the Rockets' non-conference slate are four matchups against 2023 NCAA Tournament teams: James Madison, Gonzaga, Michigan, and Duke. Toledo will host Michigan in Savage Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 6 in a rematch of last season's upset victory in Ann Arbor.

Season tickets and group tickets for Toledo women's basketball are on sale now.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Rocket Athletic Ticket Office at the Sullivan Athletic Complex in Savage Arena, contact the Rocket Athletic Ticket Office at 419-530-GOLD (4653) or go online to UTRockets.com/tix.

"Our 2023-24 non-conference schedule will be the toughest we've played at Toledo in my tenure," head coach Tricia Cullop said. "We're excited for the challenge of playing Gonzaga, Duke, SMU, and James Madison on the road and thrilled to bring both Michigan and Cincinnati to Savage Arena! We are thrilled to have many experienced veterans returning from our last year's team that won a MAC Championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  I hope our Rocket fans will buy their tickets early for what should prove to be a very fun season. Last year we were 24th in the country in attendance, I'd love to see us climb into the Top 20."

Toledo will open the 2023-24 season on the road at James Madison on Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the first portion of the inaugural MAC-SBC Challenge. The MAC-SBC Challenge is a scheduling alliance of the men's and women's basketball programs in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Sun Belt Conference (SBC). The Rockets will host a to-be-announced Sun Belt opponent on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Toledo heads west to face 2023 NCAA Tournament Team Gonzaga on Sunday, Nov. 12 before returning home to host Cincinnati for its home opener on Sunday, Nov. 19. The following weekend, UT will face SMU and North Dakota State in San Diego, Calif. during a tournament over Thanksgiving break.

The Rockets open December with back-to-back home games vs. Michigan (Wednesday, Dec. 6) and Loyola-Maryland (Sunday, Dec. 10). The Wolverines are returning to Savage Arena for the first time since 2015, while the Greyhounds will be coming to the Glass City for the second time in the last three seasons.

Following final exams, Toledo will hit the road to play Oakland on Sunday, Dec. 17 and Duke on Wednesday, Dec. 20. The Blue Devils, who played in Savage Arena last season, finished the 2022-23 campaign ranked No. 13 in the final AP poll.

The Rockets host Hillsdale on Saturday, Dec. 30 to wrap up the calendar year.

Toledo is coming off one of the most successful seasons in school history. The Rockets won their 11th MAC Regular Season Championship and captured their ninth MAC Tournament title, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017. Toledo also won its first NCAA Tournament game since 1996, taking down No. 5 seed Iowa State in the first round on March 18. The win was the 17th in a row for UT, which set a new school record for longest winning streak in school history.

Toledo's Mid-American Conference schedule is expected to be announced in late August or early September.
